Epilepsy and putting the world right!

Friday was a very bad day! I had a major seizure during which I lost four hours, through a combination of the seizure and the groggy recovery time. I had to tell Julia when I phoned her as she had been trying to call me all day and was worried enough to call my brother to come round. Sorry, people. 😦

I have been pondering the horrible murder of soldier Lee Rigby in London and the reaction to it by the media and some parts of the British public. I was shocked and horrified by the murder but the racist reaction to it is almost as bad. People attacking mosques and shouting abuse at Muslims in the street is shameful and it isn’t helped by racist numpties like UKIP promoting their racist policies in the media. Britain is a country built on immigration, we are all descended from foreigners and should be proud of that. The murderers do not represent Islam, any more than the Westboro baptist church represent Christians! They are deranged criminals who use Islam as an excuse for their CRIMINAL acts against a brave and honourable man, who is being overlooked as a person by the thugs seeking reprisals. In my opinion, the English defence league should be banned because there is a fine line between freedom of speech and race hate and they have crossed it! If you care to you can show your support for our troops by going to Help for heroes and either donating or buying stuff.

The major political parties should stop trying to out fascist the right wing UKIP idiots and seek to serve all people of Britain, which includes a lot of different nationalities who have chosen to legally make Britain their home.

I should point out that I don’t think that all people who vote for UKIP are racist, they are often just misguided and fearful of the difficult times we live in and need an answer to their worries, UKIP appear to offer it but please be careful what you wish for, fascists are dangerous!

Peace.

Wiccaweys dog of the day is Daisy.

Daisy came to Wiccaweys from her family who had no time for her.

Daisy is a great girl who loves the outdoor life. She loves running around outside with the other dogs just being Daisy. She struggles with any kind of pressure and panics and absolutely hates travelling in any kind of vehicle which makes it difficult when it comes to finding a new home and actually leaving Wiccaweys! Once she knows you and trusts you, she gives lovely cuddles and her favourite game is playing kiss chase with Paul at bedtime!! He does the chasing and she does the kissing!!

About Mick C Gorman

Slightly damaged old bloke who is plodding on with more than a little help from a great wife. I have been married for 35 years and have 2 grown up children. I did the usual thing and replaced children with dogs when the nest became empty, best thing I ever did (apart from getting married of course). Life has taken a few interesting turns so far but this Epilepsy thing beats the lot! I love lots of things but in the past have never really stuck with them long enough to be good at them, I am trying harder to be better at a few things rather than okay at loads of things. There is still plenty of time. :-D
