More urgent foster homes needed.

Another pair of pooches requiring urgent foster homes on behalf of Black Retriever X

Dear all

We have two nice boys coming in overnight on Friday, arriving UK early Saturday morning via Holyhead on transport that travels down the M6/M40/M25/M11. Ideally, we’re looking for foster homes close-ish to that route.
Cosmo landed in Dundalk Pound about three weeks ago – a handsome but very bedraggled boy who was never reclaimed. He is a smallish spaniel cross (probably with collie) and we don’t know much about him – other than that he’s young,  good with people and great with other dogs. He’s been a bit frantic in kennels in Ireland where he’s been free-running with a lot of dogs, but we are pretty sure he will calm down once he’s getting some one-to-one attention. He is agile and can sail over a 5ft gate, so we will need a secure garden.

Oh, and just to *really* sell Cosmo… he’s absolutely filthy.. First stop when he arrives will be a good bath.

Also arriving Saturday morning is Toby.. a really attractive retriever/collie mix boy, four years old, who was rescued from a farm along with with his mum Lucy and sister Flossie (also coming to us but not on this transport).
Toby is very sweet and soft, hasn’t had much, and is a timid boy who is looking for a foster home where he can be introduced to the joys of inside living and helped to find his feet. We think the company of another dog or two would be a great help for him.

If you could help with either of these dogs, please email me asap.

I am very tempted to call about Toby myself, he looks a lot like Mack and I know that Julia would be thrilled to foster another Mack!! 😀 😀

About Mick C Gorman

Slightly damaged old bloke who is plodding on with more than a little help from a great wife. I have been married for 35 years and have 2 grown up children. I did the usual thing and replaced children with dogs when the nest became empty, best thing I ever did (apart from getting married of course). Life has taken a few interesting turns so far but this Epilepsy thing beats the lot! I love lots of things but in the past have never really stuck with them long enough to be good at them, I am trying harder to be better at a few things rather than okay at loads of things. There is still plenty of time. :-D

And I’d have them both if I could. Hope they get the love and kindness they deserve.

I thought of you and Ani as soon as I saw them, what a lovely set they would be. 🙂
      Stay warm.

They would indeed… and i really would if I could. Soon as Jemima’s email arrived this morning…

Staying warm though is even more impossible with Ani wanting the door open for the last bit of snow… 🙂

Mack rolls in the snow like a hound possessed! Almost walking along on his back,
Indy prefers to slide on his belly, they both love it. 🙂
