This year and optimism.

I am starting this year in the worst health I have ever suffered but I feel more optimistic about re-starting work than ever? There are no reasons for me to feel this way, I just do? I can’t imagine that there are a huge number of employers who want a 5o something who has MS, Arthritis and Epilepsy and is drugged almost to oblivion all day to cope with these conditions but I have the feeling that there is one. 🙂

My work experience is varied and somewhat interesting, having worked in medicine in The USA and criminal justice here in The UK and lots of things in between. I don’t even know what jobs exist any more? what new industries have been invented, which have disappeared? I think my first stop will be the “Disability employment advisor” at the local job centre plus.

I really need a philanthropic entrepreneur (not a criminal one :-D) who will take a chance, I have always been a fast learner and a hard worker who gives his all for the entire work day. It would be good if I could take Indy with me to work because he tells when me I am about to have a seizure most of the time. 🙂

Handsome Indy

Wiccaweys dogs for the day are Ronnie and Alice.

The very lovely and cheeky Ronnie and Alice have come to Wiccaweys from our friends at Hyndburn Dogs In Need. They were picked up as strays after being abandoned down a very secluded country track, tied to a tree.

They are both in need of haircuts, so won’t be so hairy very soon. Their coats are very matted. Alice is very underweight at the moment. Alice is devoted to her Ronnie and hates to be parted from him. We think they are Lhasa Apso crosses, possibly with a poodle, or even a Tibetan Terrier cross with a poodle. They are both sweet and loving, very good with other dogs – but little menaces with pussy cats!! They travel well.

About Mick C Gorman

Slightly damaged old bloke who is plodding on with more than a little help from a great wife. I have been married for 36 years and have 2 grown up children. I did the usual thing and replaced children with dogs when the nest became empty, best thing I ever did (apart from getting married of course). Life has taken a few interesting turns so far but this Epilepsy thing beats the lot! I love lots of things but in the past have never really stuck with them long enough to be good at them, I am trying harder to be better at a few things rather than okay at loads of things. There is still plenty of time. :-D

Hope things start looking up for you, I really do. I think your positive attitude is inspiring.
By the way, HSDIN is based in my town, Accrington. I often frequent their charity shop. Steve Wood and all the team do an amazing job.

    Thank you, Carol. 🙂
Shortly after being diagnosed with MS I found it easy to move on and it would have been the same with Epilepsy but my brother died suddenly the day after the diagnosis which knocked me for 6 but with a bit of time it will all be good.

    Hello again Carol.
I am not aware of Wiccaweys having taken dogs from Hyndburn before? but I could be wrong, They do often get small dogs from up north via a lady called Bernie so maybe she has a connection with them?
    Lovely wee pooches though. 🙂

Thank you for visiting, Billie. I seldom need an excuse to show people pictures of dogs, they always brighten my day. 🙂
