A rainy day in Wellingborough.

What a horrible day it is today, it has been raining on and off all day. I got the best part of the deal today because I am at home looking after foster dog, Mack, Julia is at Wiccaweys all day walking rescue dogs. 🙂

When I was able to walk well enough to go, there would be several volunteers each day so the dogs got loads of attention but now it is usually Julia and one or two others! 😦  it is sad because they can’t spend as much time on each dog, especially during the winter when the days are shorter. Any people within reach of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire are welcome to come and walk dogs (mostly Collies) you will find good company, a warm welcome from the pooches and people and usually a nice home-made cake or two. An hour or two would be fine but volunteers are there all day at weekends. Details are on the Wiccaweys website.

Roxy & Russell Are from Ireland and have been at Wiccaweys for a while, they can be found in the “Pairs of Collies” section of the website. A lovely wee pair of pooches.

About Mick C Gorman

Slightly damaged old bloke who is plodding on with more than a little help from a great wife. I have been married for 36 years and have 2 grown up children. I did the usual thing and replaced children with dogs when the nest became empty, best thing I ever did (apart from getting married of course). Life has taken a few interesting turns so far but this Epilepsy thing beats the lot! I love lots of things but in the past have never really stuck with them long enough to be good at them, I am trying harder to be better at a few things rather than okay at loads of things. There is still plenty of time. :-D
