My Boys

My Boys

These are my boys, Luca the Golden Retriever and Indy the Border Collie.

The boys have helped us to raise 14 foster dogs so far but since Luca died last year it is left to Indy now. In the past Indy taught manners and Luca taught the fun stuff like eating treats and playing. Indy now teaches it all but he is still very good at the manners part, he has a special smile which involves showing teeth and a low grumble which appears to work well. 🙂

We have a long-term foster dog with us called Mack, he belongs to http://www.wiccaweys.co.uk but has been with us so long as to be almost part of the family. Mack is half Collie and half Retriever. Mack is a character and a half! After a very hard life in Ireland he came to England full of attitude, aggression, fear and teeth, after 2 years he is almost “normal” he will still nip if the wrong person spooks him but most of the time he is just loving and playful. We love Mack.

You will find Mack in the “Special cases” section of the Wiccaweys website because he has particular requirements which means he can’t go to just any old home.

About Mick C Gorman

Slightly damaged old bloke who is plodding on with more than a little help from a great wife. I have been married for 35 years and have 2 grown up children. I did the usual thing and replaced children with dogs when the nest became empty, best thing I ever did (apart from getting married of course). Life has taken a few interesting turns so far but this Epilepsy thing beats the lot! I love lots of things but in the past have never really stuck with them long enough to be good at them, I am trying harder to be better at a few things rather than okay at loads of things. There is still plenty of time. :-D
