Karen Wren runs a small animal shelter in Didim, Turkey trying to save abandoned and injured street dogs along with feeding up to eighty other hungry mouths on the beach, at the side of the road and in the forest each and every day. Sterling work don’t you think? There are no thank yous for this type of hero, because that’s exactly what she is although I don’t think she would thank me for saying that.
After a long and varied work career I am back on the market looking for a new challenge. I spent many years in Indianapolis, Indiana but I am now living in England again.
After returning to England I spent 5 years working with the Probation service, working with offenders with drug addiction issues. I have volunteered as a fosterer for Wiccaweys rescued Border Collies and working sheepdogs for 4 years, so far.
All of my time is spent with dogs at the moment, that may be a good thing but I could end up forgetting how to speak human.
In case you are wondering about the mobility scooter in the picture? I can't walk far because I have MS and now I can't drive because I have recently been diagnosed with Epilepsy. Bummer ai?
